Internal Landscapes

The first snowfall of the season has begun. As I went for my ‘first snowfall of the season walk’ I felt myself appreciating this gateway to the winter season and the inner reflections that often accompany it.

Consider this: Your experience of life is created 80% internally and 20% externally. The way you interpret and respond to what happens in life is how you are creating your life experience.

Do you often feel like a victim – powerless to change the external world, angry at others or life for what is happening to you, resentful that others seem to thrive while you just survive? There isn’t anyone that is coming to save you from this.

Changing your life is an inside job. It begins with you and can ONLY be done by you (that doesn’t mean doing it alone, but it does mean taking responsibility for your internal environment and development and getting the help you need). What kind of  a world do you want to live in, to experience, to contribute to and to leave for future generations?

Let us build an empowered culture where possibility is a given and deeper levels of care, connection, creativity and well-being are the norm. I’m in!!!

Enjoy your day.

Cancer & Genetics

If you haven’t seen The Living Matrix movie, you might want to. This is a short clip of Bruce Lipton, who is the author of Biology of Belief, among many other things. Another book that may be of interest is Dawson Church’s Genie in your Genes.

One of the ways Bruce works with his belief system is through PSYCH K, a method involving the subconscious, conscious and super conscious systems via muscle testing. Studies in neuroscience indicate that as much as 95% f our consciousness is actually subconscious and this is where we store our attitudes, values and beliefs. From our beliefs we form perceptions about our self, others and the world and from these perceptions we develop our behaviors.

Earlier this year I completed my Advanced Training in this modality and look forward to offering it to you. Details will be out soon or feel free to contact me directly.

Building bridges, not walls

Who am I? What am I feeling? What do I need?

Do you know? These are questions that go beyond any ego, addictive or habitual needs. Ask more deeply. Take time to listen. Anytime throughout your day, when you awake or before you fall asleep, ask these questions.

When you react to a situation, you are not relating to the actual feeling, you are letting those feelings run the show (road rage is one example). You are no longer in charge. You bypass the conscious brain and react via autopilot fueled by the false beliefs you created when you were young.

Or perhaps you’ve locked away your feelings and use distractions to endlessly distract yourself. Anything can work – food, drugs, shopping, television – there is a plethora to choose from. This too is a way of not actually feeling what is going on within yourself.

Before reacting to someone or a situation, pause, take a few nice deep breaths and ask “What am I feeling? What do I need?” Listen, then respond with awareness. Feelings can only evolve if they are being felt. And the, with practice you will begin to open the door to the deeper places within yourself that long to be heard.

Ask the questions, then build the bridges.

Necessary Loss

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
~Albert Einstein~

Life is full of necessary loss – the loss of a job, a loved one, an item of significance, agility or grace – it can be many things, but whenever there is a sense of loss there is some degree of grief. Something that was a part of you is now gone.

The process of grief has many twists and turns and is not a linear process, but there are several stages that one must travel through in order to fully embrace, release and move on from the loss.

The stages are commonly understood to be shock or disbelief, denial, anger, bargaining, guilt, depression, acceptance and hope.

The key is to keep the movement – keep riding the bicycle. Allow your feelings to be expressed, allow the natural process of grieving to occur and trust that the emptiness within will absolutely be filled. There is no hurry to fill the void; it will happen naturally.

In dealing with my most recent loss, I diffused a blend of essential oils, turned on music with a strong earthy beat and cleaned house, pausing to cry as I went along. It was very nurturing and healing and exactly what I needed at that moment.

The one constant in life is change. Life is not stagnant. If you get stuck or attempt to stop by resisting what is, are you not then in the process of losing your balance, falling over and, by default, in the process of decay as you lay there?

Don’t wither away by default – find a way up and get the help you need. The world needs you.

On healing…

We say that someone is healthy when he/she is in a good relationship with life: bodily, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The world “whole” can be used in a similar way, meaning that the person has a full relationship with life. My sense of illness is that in some way the person has become separated from life. If I think about what we normally refer to as illness, each form involves some kind of withdrawal from a full relationship to life: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. In that sense illness involves any kind of separation, including feelings like distrust, alienation, prejudice, judgment and any other espousal of separation. … In my experience all forms of healing involve joining with life and ending thoughts and expressions of separation … This awakening is the end of separation. All of life is cooperating to bring us into eternal Being. In that sense we are all prodigal sons being welcomed home. ~Jack Blackburn~

Is it time to rethink your definition of healing?

Too often people equate healing with having someone fix the issue or make it go away, releasing all personal responsibility. It really doesn’t work that way – not over the long haul.

What if healing simply meant that there was a glitch, a snag, a kink, an outdated false belief snagged in there somewhere in one of the physical, subtle or energetic systems? What if it was simply time to update your subconscious programming? Time to let go, allow the flow and come back into balance?

That there was nothing intrinsically wrong with you – just a little blip along the way. A lack of connection or a lack of smooth flowing energy somewhere. An entanglement perhaps.

Perhaps you could adjust it yourself …. Perhaps you require the assistance and support of someone else … either way you do what you need to do to support your well-being.

Perhaps through reconnecting with yourself from a place of clean power, and then with all of life, systems could come back into their natural state of balance where healing can occur and wellness is the normal state of being.

What about that? Would you be interested? Is it time to move into your next level of joy, balance and well-being? What is one step you could take right now in that direction?

Universal Points of Balance

emf balancing techniqueThis 8 minute video is a beautiful representation of how our intentions work throughout our system.

Universal Points of Balance Video

This is usually viewed after you’ve created your Focus Map (also called Statement of Focused Intent) to explain the process visually, but even without doing that process, this is valuable, for we all have intentions. The question is – how clearly are they defined and in what ways are we nourishing them?

I offer the Focus Map instruction with the Phase XIII session here as a downloadable package, but you can also create a Map (Statement of Focused Intent = SOFI) on the Symbol website for free (this does not include the Phase XIII session). They will either email you your SOFI or you can create your Map on your own paper as you go.

Any way you go, powerful stuff and beautiful visuals! Enjoy!

Towards Joy and Love

This funny, insightful and important 20 minute talk is well worth your time. Have you realized that numbing is not a selective process – that if you numb down your pain you also numb down your joy, creating a cycle that flatlines your life? How depressing is that?!?!?! To break the cycle…well, I’ll let you watch and see. And in all honesty, I am so very grateful to be working with my passion, which is helping people to live a fully alive life. Enjoy!

Create Beauty

energy, healing, personal growthThat which we seek is a true expression of our inner self. To express ones self is to be fully alive. All things done in love and joy create beauty, for beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if one loves what is being offered it is indeed beautiful to the artist, the creator of the work. To create beauty, offer that which is true to your heart, your soul and let the love shine forth for all to see and resonate with.

Beauty is all around you, everywhere you look. Is your vision wide enough to view it in all of its various forms? Or is your view narrow to see only a small percentage of the beauty that is Life? Larger perspectives promote  beauty. Acceptance promotes beauty. Appreciation promotes beauty. Do you see? All has beauty – can you see it? What is yours? What do you offer? A smile? A Kind word? An artistic design or creation? A warm touch? A peaceful home? Where do you see the beauty in your life – and where do you not see the beauty? Ride the wave – beauty in action, beauty in stillness, beauty in transformation, beauty in chaos. It is all there, if only you look. Beauty in the silence, beauty in the singing of the birds, the wind, the trees. Beauty is all around. Open your heat to perceive it and widen your viewpoint.

Create that which makes your heart sing and allows your individual beauty to shine. Those with open eyes will see it. Inspired action is your beauty manifested.
