Quiet the Chaos, Increase your Stamina

Are you wound up from the holidays or still in the midst of it? When you get into the overwhelm of stress and exhaustion, your meridians begin to run backwards, compelling you to rest. This makes you feel even more zapped.

Tap or rub your K-27 points (see below) to restore the natural direction of the meridian flow. This gives you increased stamina. In fact, Tapping or rubbing your K-27′s is a simple exercise that will energize you if you are feeling drowsy and help you focus if you are having difficulty concentrating.

To tap your K-27 points do the following:
1. Place your fingers on your K-27 points.
2. Tap or rub vigorously for 15-30 seconds.
3. Focus on your breathing, in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Not sure if you’re tapping the right spot? To locate your K-27 points:

  • Place your fingers on your collarbone and move them inward towards the U-shaped notch at the top of your breastbone.
  • Move your fingers to the bottom of the U and then move down and out about an inch to find the spots.
  • For most people there is a soft spot or indentation there at the location of their K-27 points.

Transformative Coaching in 2012

As many of you know I’ve been involved with the Feminine Power Mastery program for the last 18 months. And for the last 11 years those of us involved with the EMF Balancing work have been called ‘evolving evolutionaries.’

Let me define these terms: an evolutionary is someone who understands that the transformation of our world depends upon our willingness to evolve ourselves and is committed to making that happen. Feminine Power, unlike masculine power which is the power to create those things that can be controlled, feminine power is the power to create those things that are beyond our control, but which our hearts most deeply long for such as love, care, connection, self expression, creativity, right livelihood and meaningful contributions to the world with a brighter future for generations to come.

I’ve been working with the the same desire and commitment all along and now offer it in different formats. Energy work, Body work or Coaching work – all based on the empowered yin or feminine power that has largely laid quiet for quite a while. Oh but the times they are a changin’.  :)

Currently I am in the Feminine Power Transformational Coaching and Leadership Program which I am most excited about. And in early 2012 I will be offering one-on-one coaching to help you rock your world by transforming some aspect of your life. It’s powerful, dynamic and not for the meek. It takes courage and commitment to shift at this level, and I will be with you each step of the way. It’s a 7 week program and I’ll have more information available fairly soon.

I look forward to stepping into this next stage of my commitment to be in service to the uplift and flourishing of the world, supporting you to step into the life of your dreams.

Aromatherapy Basics

Imagine walking into a deep, earthy old growth forest
or along the sandy beach with rolling waves
or freshly cut grass in the summer
or homemade baked bread

As you take a nice deep breath, how do you feel? You can smell the wonderful scents in the air and feel it affecting your whole body. This is holistic – it affects your body, mind and spirit on many levels. Holistic aromatherapy does the same thing; it’s about connection and transformation.

Stress* and emotions** meet in the nervous system***. Figures state that from 75% to 90% of all of our ills are stress related. And emotional challenges for people of all ages are running rampant these days. This growing problem is huge, and a lot of it can be handled by you as you take responsibility for your life. And taking responsibility means getting the help you need to come back into holistic balance.

The challenges will continue to show up, but the question is – how will you handle it? If you learn to manage your stress and your emotions, your nervous system will love you for it. And, of course, your nervous system affects pretty much everything; it is the communication system of the body so your health and wellness will be the end result.

Cancer & Genetics

If you haven’t seen The Living Matrix movie, you might want to. This is a short clip of Bruce Lipton, who is the author of Biology of Belief, among many other things. Another book that may be of interest is Dawson Church’s Genie in your Genes.

One of the ways Bruce works with his belief system is through PSYCH K, a method involving the subconscious, conscious and super conscious systems via muscle testing. Studies in neuroscience indicate that as much as 95% f our consciousness is actually subconscious and this is where we store our attitudes, values and beliefs. From our beliefs we form perceptions about our self, others and the world and from these perceptions we develop our behaviors.

Earlier this year I completed my Advanced Training in this modality and look forward to offering it to you. Details will be out soon or feel free to contact me directly.

Back Pocket Grounding

What IS grounding anyway?

It’s a way of feeling solid in your being; emotionally, mentally and spiritually making it easier to flow with life.

Think of a tree – deep roots to ground solidly into the earth, a trunk – it’s core – supported by the root structure so it can stand strong in this world and more easily allow the branches to flex and blow with the wind. Without the core strength and root system, the branches could snap and get lost in the winds of change unable to connect back into its home, the wholeness of the tree. The tree needs to be grounded into the earth for it to fully thrive in this world – and so do you.

If you feel spacey, anxious, disconnected or continually flit from one thing to another, you may not be grounded. Having trouble listening and learning or focusing can also show up, as well as trouble walking or balancing. When you are not grounded, you just don’t feel all the way Here.

The obvious choices such as a healthy lifestyle, time in nature and walking barefoot in the grass are very important, but what about when you’re at work and need to ground. What then?

Try this Back Pocket Technique (as in Keep it in your Back Pocket)

  1. Using your middle fingers hold between your eyebrows and your navel and gently pull up on both points. After a couple of breaths you may find yourself taking a deeper relaxation breath. Good.
  2. Place your hands at the sides of your waist
  3. With your thumb in the front and your fingers toward the back, slide your hands slowly and firmly down your legs.
  4. When you get to your feet, squeeze the sides of your feet.
  5. Hang there for at least 2 deep breaths. As much as possible, let you body and head hang freely giving into the pull of gravity.
  6. Glide your hands from the big toe up the inside of your legs, flaring out at the hips, up the side of your rib cage and down to the bottom of the rib cage.  Here you are tracing the spleen meridian, which helps us to metabolize all things – substances, energies, thoughts…

Take a couple of nice deep breaths. Feel better?

Daily Energy Routine

Through years of practice we have designed a Daily Energy Routine that combines the most potent techniques we know that are able to help the greatest number of people stimulate each of the vital energy systems of the body and bring them into harmony and balance.” Donna Eden & David Feinstein, The Healing Power of Energy Medicine.

These exercises communicate with and influence the body’s energy systems in direct ways. By learning the movements and points to touch, you are beginning a dialogue with your body’s energy systems in the universal language of energy. The daily routine brings basic energies into better integration, coherence and flow.

This pdf shows you how Five_Minute_Routine. And this audio by Donna will walk you through it if you prefer to listen Daily_Energy_Routine.

And for those curious minds who want a tad bit more info on the Daily Routine exercises, read on:

  • Three Thumps helps to get the meridians flowing forward when they are flowing backward or in an irregular pattern, supports your immune system and your ability to metabolize energies, substances and thoughts.
  • Cross Crawl helps the energy cross between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
  • Wayne Cook links the energies of the back brain with the front brain.
  • Crown Pull helps to pump the cerebrospinal fluid into the brain.
  • Neurolymphatic Massage supports the flow of lymph and clearing of toxins.
  • Connecting Heaven and Earth helps to open areas especially in the joints supporting the flow of energy.
  • Celtic Weave enhances your energy integration by weaving the energy systems of the body together.
  • Hook Up connects your energetic spine.
  • Zip up helps you to be less vulnerable to undue influence

Also, if you’ve signed up for my newsletter you have received a few other helpful tools – Radiating Core Energy to help strengthen your personal core, Main Central flow to regenerate and restore overall balance and flow in your meridian system and the Spiral Sweep meditation to flow the energy through your skeletal system, your brain, your endocrine system and your chakra system providing greater flow and emotional balance. And of course, using the Breath for release and concentration.

Use what calls to you in any given moment. There are many opportunities to be thrown off balance throughout your day and the question is – are you utilizing the available tools to help you regain your centeredness and balance?

Enjoy your day…

Building bridges, not walls

Who am I? What am I feeling? What do I need?

Do you know? These are questions that go beyond any ego, addictive or habitual needs. Ask more deeply. Take time to listen. Anytime throughout your day, when you awake or before you fall asleep, ask these questions.

When you react to a situation, you are not relating to the actual feeling, you are letting those feelings run the show (road rage is one example). You are no longer in charge. You bypass the conscious brain and react via autopilot fueled by the false beliefs you created when you were young.

Or perhaps you’ve locked away your feelings and use distractions to endlessly distract yourself. Anything can work – food, drugs, shopping, television – there is a plethora to choose from. This too is a way of not actually feeling what is going on within yourself.

Before reacting to someone or a situation, pause, take a few nice deep breaths and ask “What am I feeling? What do I need?” Listen, then respond with awareness. Feelings can only evolve if they are being felt. And the, with practice you will begin to open the door to the deeper places within yourself that long to be heard.

Ask the questions, then build the bridges.
