Quiet the Chaos, Increase your Stamina

Are you wound up from the holidays or still in the midst of it? When you get into the overwhelm of stress and exhaustion, your meridians begin to run backwards, compelling you to rest. This makes you feel even more zapped.

Tap or rub your K-27 points (see below) to restore the natural direction of the meridian flow. This gives you increased stamina. In fact, Tapping or rubbing your K-27′s is a simple exercise that will energize you if you are feeling drowsy and help you focus if you are having difficulty concentrating.

To tap your K-27 points do the following:
1. Place your fingers on your K-27 points.
2. Tap or rub vigorously for 15-30 seconds.
3. Focus on your breathing, in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Not sure if you’re tapping the right spot? To locate your K-27 points:

  • Place your fingers on your collarbone and move them inward towards the U-shaped notch at the top of your breastbone.
  • Move your fingers to the bottom of the U and then move down and out about an inch to find the spots.
  • For most people there is a soft spot or indentation there at the location of their K-27 points.

The daily routine brings basic energies into better integration, coherence and flow.

Jin Shin – Holding your Fingers

Gently wrap one hand around your other hands’ thumb and each finger individually and then hold the palm of the other hand.  Hold each finger, thumb, and palm for at least 2 minutes apiece or longer.  You can choose which hand you want to hold or do both. (See hand images below)

The fingers and palm have energy connections to our mind, body and spirit.  Alternatively, you can do both exercises together as well… the 36 Breaths while holding your fingers.  While you hold each finger/position, do 6 complete breaths and then move to next finger/position and repeat.

On healing…

We say that someone is healthy when he/she is in a good relationship with life: bodily, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The world “whole” can be used in a similar way, meaning that the person has a full relationship with life. My sense of illness is that in some way the person has become separated from life. If I think about what we normally refer to as illness, each form involves some kind of withdrawal from a full relationship to life: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. In that sense illness involves any kind of separation, including feelings like distrust, alienation, prejudice, judgment and any other espousal of separation. … In my experience all forms of healing involve joining with life and ending thoughts and expressions of separation … This awakening is the end of separation. All of life is cooperating to bring us into eternal Being. In that sense we are all prodigal sons being welcomed home. ~Jack Blackburn~

Is it time to rethink your definition of healing?

Too often people equate healing with having someone fix the issue or make it go away, releasing all personal responsibility. It really doesn’t work that way – not over the long haul.

What if healing simply meant that there was a glitch, a snag, a kink, an outdated false belief snagged in there somewhere in one of the physical, subtle or energetic systems? What if it was simply time to update your subconscious programming? Time to let go, allow the flow and come back into balance?

That there was nothing intrinsically wrong with you – just a little blip along the way. A lack of connection or a lack of smooth flowing energy somewhere. An entanglement perhaps.

Perhaps you could adjust it yourself …. Perhaps you require the assistance and support of someone else … either way you do what you need to do to support your well-being.

Perhaps through reconnecting with yourself from a place of clean power, and then with all of life, systems could come back into their natural state of balance where healing can occur and wellness is the normal state of being.

What about that? Would you be interested? Is it time to move into your next level of joy, balance and well-being? What is one step you could take right now in that direction?

Towards Joy and Love

This funny, insightful and important 20 minute talk is well worth your time. Have you realized that numbing is not a selective process – that if you numb down your pain you also numb down your joy, creating a cycle that flatlines your life? How depressing is that?!?!?! To break the cycle…well, I’ll let you watch and see. And in all honesty, I am so very grateful to be working with my passion, which is helping people to live a fully alive life. Enjoy!

The 36 Jin Shin Breaths

The simplest and most important self help tool we have is our breath:  the exhale and the inhale.

When we exhale consciously and deeply, we release tension and stress. When we inhale naturally, we receive an abundance of life energy. This life energy connects our body, mind, and spirit.

Simply and consciously exhale while dropping your shoulders as if they were touching your feet. The smile comes naturally as you release and gently welcome the inhalation.

Each day use this formula to exhale consciously and inhale naturally 36 breaths. You can do this all at once or you can do 9 complete exhales and inhales four times per day. Use your breath!
